Have you ever noticed that the more we invent things to make our lives more convenient the more hectic our lives become? Ironic isn’t it?
The world seems to be moving at an increasingly fast pace. By the time most of us have a moment to relax it is time for bed. I sometimes find myself sitting down at the end of the day after the kids are sent off to bed (and after they have asked for a drink, because they didn’t realize they were thirsty earlier) and thinking to myself…”Boy, am I tired”.
Ever wonder what it would be like never to get tired? For those of us who know Jesus as our savior this is more than just a wish or a pipe dream; it is a reality that is not far off. God tells us in His word to come unto Him…and He will give us rest. This is not just a temporary rest either. We will be rested for all eternity. Think about it, we will never be tired again!
I don’t know about you, but I am really looking forward to that day. A day when there will be no more sadness, no more pain, no more death and no more tired and weary bones. What a glorious day that will be when we who believe are caught up in the clouds to be with our Lord and Saviour for all eternity.
