Hillsdale Baptist Missions

Hillsdale Baptist Church is grateful for the opportunity to participate in a variety of Mission programs. Ten percent of our regular gifts are designated for foreign and domestic missions. In additon, Hillsdale Baptist Church takes a trip to Tennessee every year for a week of “Cow Pasture” VBS and Youth VBS. A special blessing this year was the added ministry of a Woman’s Conference. Forty six people made the journey, staying in a local motel at their own expense and giving a week of their vacation to the Lord.

Other ministry activities include:

  • Christmas in August for migrant workers
  • Samaratin’s purse in December
  • Adopt an Annuitant Program for widowed Pastors and their wives. This much needed ministry provides help and support for those who have dedicated their lives to serving God’s flock.

Hillsdale Baptist Church also has a food pantry ministry from 9:00-11:00 a.m. every Tuesday morning. This ministry is open to the public at no charge. Plans are being made to begin a free clothing ministry as soon as the Lord provides the space.

There is an ongoing missions emphasis for the young people in our community each Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m. Activities have included trips to Detroit Tiger’s Ball games, golf outings and Christian conferences.

Some of our local missions include food baskets and assistance to a Hispanic sister church and their pastor.

Pastors and new churches within the Michigan Southern Baptist Convention receive aid and assistance from Hillsdale Baptist Church as well as other Southern Baptist Convention churches. Food kitchens, counseling centers and crisis homes benefit as well. Our missionaries regularly report results, prayer needs and words of praise through the state newspaper, letters and Mission conferences.

With mission opportunities available at every level, it is the prayer of Hillsdale Baptist Church to be active in serving our Lord Jesus Christ in every area of need.
